2K and 4K videos in AVS4YOU software A number of significant technology developments have occurred in the past few years that have enabled the digital playback and display of feature films at a level of 2K and 4K resolution.  4K resolution, also called 4K, refers to a horizontal resolution on the order of 4,000 pixels and vertical resolution on the order of 2,000 pixels (e.g. 3840 x 2160 or 3840 x 2400). 2K - horizontal resolution of approximately 2,000 pixels and higher (e.g. 2560 x 1440, 2560 x 1600 or 2560 x 2048).  These technology developments include the introduction of: high-resolution film scanners and 4K digital television, high-speed data networking, storage, and 4K computer monitors. By 2015, 4K television market share had increased greatly. By 2025, more than half of U.S. households are expected to have a 4K-capable TV (2160p) (Mark Hoelzel from "Business Insider"). AVS Video Converter and AVS Video Editor can be used to process 2K and 4K video

AVS Video Converter vs AVS Video Editor I often receive requests on which program to use to fulfill different tasks. Now I'd like to show you the difference between 2 programs - AVS Video Converter and AVS Video Editor. Both AVS Video Editor and AVS Video Converter can be used to convert all key video file formats (including ready presets for different devices) and edit videos: delete the unnecessary parts from the video, add text and objects, apply audio and video effects, create DVD menus. Unique AVS Video Editor featurs are the following: 1. Projects opportunity. As AVS Video Editor has a lot of editing options, it is supposed to be used for a long time editing process. It is possible to save the project and next time start from the place where you left your editing. To save AVS Video Editor for the first time press the "File" tab on the top toolbar of the program - choose "Save Prject as ..." and enter the name of your project. Then use the button &

7 essential video tools in AVS Video Editor every editor should know. 1. Trimming video.  Many users need to delete the unnecessary parts from their video files. AVS Video Editor has well organized handy tools to fulfill the task: - Trim option is quite useful when you need to cut out some video from the beginning or the end of the video clip, or both. Right click on the video you need to trim (either in media library or on the timeline) - choose Trim, then mark the beginning and end of the trimming area with your mouse and buttons circled on the screenshot below. - Multitrim is used in case you need to delete several scenes in different parts of the video clip - beginning, end or any place in the middle. You can either manually select all the scenes in the video clip and choose what to keep and what will be deleted or find the scene changes automatically. The procedure of manual selection of needed area is the same with Trim option. Although it might be better to use t

Rotate video shot in an incorrect orientation. If you imported a video record from your smartphone or digital camera and discovered that it had been shot in an incorrect orientation, you can easily fix this issue with AVS4YOU and then watch your video in a comfortable mode on any device. You can rotate the entire video or a certain scene in a desired direction, changing its orientation from the landscape to the portrait one and vice versa.  Below are the steps to rotate your video: 1. Load your source video to AVS Video Converter clicking on the Browse button.   2. Click the Advanced button to check the input file settings: frame size, bitrate, frame rate in Input File column. 3 . In Output File column manually change the frame size to a square with the size of input file height (e.g. 1920x1920), set the video bitrate higher than the input one (for about 5%), set video frame rate and audio settings to be the same with input file.

AVS Video Editor Preview issues   I receive many requests concerning some inconveniences using AVS Video Editor preview.  In this post I'd like to to draw up recommendations to tackle such problems.  1). Preview quality is not good (image is blurry, etc).  Actually, by default AVS Video Editor creates cache for large video files after importing them, and playback the cached file on the preview, so the editing process may be more convenient. But, the preview quality does not influence anyhow the output video file quality. It is possible to change the quality of the video preview both on the timeline and on media library by clicking on the Edit button on the top toolbar - choose Settings - Preview section: choose "High (Slowest)" in "Quality" drop down box to get the best available quality for the timeline video playback.  Please note that processing/editing speed will be lower. If you check the option "Use original format in media
